Hello, we are Neil and Jay from Roswell, Georgia. We know that this may be an uncertain time for you, and we credit your amazing courage for considering open adoption for your soon-to-be-arriving angel. We do know that by just looking into open adoption and by looking at our letter and website, that you must be a very compassionate woman who cares deeply for the future dreams of your child. We praise you for that. Above all else, we hope that whatever decisions and choices you make, that they are in the best interest of you. We also extend an enormous THANK YOU for taking a few moments to look at our letter and website. We hope it gave you a little insight into who we are and the type of daddies we will be.

This is Jay and I. I (Neil) am on the right, holding the baby, while Jay is the one in my arms...hahaha, just kidding, Jay is the handsome red head next to me. The baby is Colton, the new son of our dear friends Jeremy and Lanore. I could hardly put him down. He was laughing and smiling at us. What a cutie!
We each grew up in different parts of the country. Neil was born and raised near historic Boston, Massachusetts, while Jay was in the much flatter lands of corn-rearing Evansville, Indiana. We met while we both were studying at Indiana University. We credit our meeting to an old friend of ours. We were soon great friends, but it didn’t take long after that to realize that there was more electricity between us. It was absolutely meant to be. It has been 8 fun and exciting years with many, many more to come. We are very proud to say that in 2003, we visited Toronto, Canada and officially were wed. We cherish that fact and have great joy calling each other “husband.” We look more forward to having our child call us "Daddy." The two of us are very lucky in our professional lives, too. Jay is very successful as a field application specialist in a world wide company. He has been with the company for several years now and has climbed the corporate ladder at great speeds. Neil’s career is much different as a thriving theatrical lighting designer. With great force, he has broken into the theatre scene in Atlanta and has quickly become a sought after designer. What is most fantastic about both of our jobs is that we each work out of our home offices and manage our own work schedules so we will be able to greet our child at the bus stop and host play-dates. Our little one will have a great extended family. Both sets of parent can hardly wait for their new grandbaby. Neil’s Mom has already been looking at purchasing cribs.

We very much want to raise a child. We have been together for eight years and are so extremely ready to bring another person into our family. We both adore children. Neither of us can ever resist holding a new baby or smiling while watching a group of young kids playing around. The other day, there was a group of neighborhood children playing across the street. While we couldn't figure out the type of game they were playing, it was obvious that the game was carefully thought out...it had to do with this box and being on top, and having to go find objects....anyway, the kids played this for hours. We were amazed at how long they played this imaginary game they made up. They were so engaged in it, that they didn't even notice when the sun went down. We can't wait help nurture the young imagination of our son or daughter. To watch our daughter have a tea party with 15 of her best "stuffed toy" friends or maybe see our son become a superhero like "Iceman" and save the world.
Our nephew Chase has a great time playing with our dog, Damon.
We thank you again for peering into our lives. We really want to convey to you how excited we are about raising a child. It has long been a dream of ours.
We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures. We will be updating it as new pictures come in.
